While a bit old, this video shows some basic concepts for how to do beauty effects on human skin in NUKE. It’s not the most refined method, it was designed for fast TV work (1-2 hrs a shot).
The most valuable thing to learn from this video isn’t so much the blurring techniques from the skin, but really the concept of subtracting out the grain and re-applying it at the end of your node chain. Basic but valuable math.
When this video was made, NEAT video was kind of the only way to do this. And while I still think NEAT is the best option, the built in NUKE Denoise node can also work this way.
